Therapy Office

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT

On your first session we will explore the reasons you feel are most important in why you have come to therapy.

I will ask for your own ideas about why you think things have arrived at this point and what you wish to gain from the work.

Some of the questions will be present focused and some on early history.  This helps me to come to a provisional formulation of the issue, and come up with a plan of therapy that suits you.

I also encourage intermittent reviews, in order to ensure the therapy approach is still a good fit, and that we going in the right direction.

GETTING STARTED

Covid-19 had reduced the amount of availability for face to face appointments, and online therapeutic intervention is now something that is offered commonly.

For new clients outside of the Isle of Man zoom appointments are the only option available at the moment.

For Isle of Man clients I am able to use a quiet and discreet therapeutic space in central Douglas.  Please get in touch for details.

Payments can be made via cash, app, or bank transfer.

For clients who wish to self-pay, the payment needs to be made 2 days prior to a confirmed appointment.

If you need to cancel the appointment, you can do so without charge if 48-hrs notice is given.  Within 24hrs notice, the full charge will stand, this includes insurance payments.
